Privacy Policy

When you contact us or apply for business financing, we collect information you provide, which may include your name, business name, telephone number, email, province, city, postal code, industry, time in business, revenue range, intended use of funds, requested amount, self-reported credit-score range, and other records or documents you send during follow-up conversations. We may also collect correspondence about your application, the funding partners to whom it is referred, and records of the language and version of the consent you accepted.

Our website and service providers may process technical information needed to operate and secure the site, such as browser and device information, IP addresses, and anti-spam signals.

We use this information to receive and review financing inquiries, contact applicants, assess which financing options may be relevant, communicate with selected funding partners, support financing discussions, prevent misuse, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations. Submitting an application does not guarantee an offer or approval.

BGC reviews applications internally before deciding which funding partners, if any, should receive them. When an application is referred, we generally send the full application to those selected partners. This can include your contact information, business and financing details, revenue range, and self-reported credit-score range. Referrals are made through business email or lender portals. Selected funding partners may contact you directly concerning the request. We do not automatically send every application to every lender in our network.

Funding partners operate independently and may use information under their own privacy policies and legal obligations. You can contact us at the address below with questions about disclosures or requests concerning your information.

We use Webflow to operate our website and collect form submissions, Google Workspace for business email, and Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect forms against abuse. We may use services that deliver fonts and other standard website assets. Information may be stored or processed outside Québec, including in the United States, and may be subject to laws in those locations. Selected funding partners and their portals may also be located outside Québec. We are responsible for assessing applicable safeguards and contractual requirements for these activities.

Our team may contact you manually by email, telephone, or text concerning your financing inquiry. Selected funding partners may also contact you about a referred application. Submitting a financing application does not subscribe you to promotional SMS marketing. BGC does not currently run an automated SMS marketing program.

The credit-score range you enter is self-reported. BGC does not obtain a credit bureau report through this website application. A funding partner may ask for its own authorization before conducting a credit check.

BGC limits access to applications to personnel who need the information to handle financing inquiries and related operations. We use third-party services and take reasonable steps to protect information; no internet transmission or storage method is completely risk-free. Do not submit passwords, Social Insurance Numbers, or banking login credentials through our public application.

We keep application information and related records for financing review, communications, compliance, and other legitimate purposes, subject to applicable retention obligations. Our historical records may include older applications and email correspondence. We are formalizing record-review and deletion procedures. Information that is no longer needed for its purpose and is not subject to a legal retention requirement or hold should be securely destroyed or anonymized as applicable. You may contact our Privacy Officer to ask about retention or request deletion where permitted by law.

You may contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information, ask how it has been used or shared, or withdraw consent where applicable. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information may need to be retained because of legal obligations, existing contracts, or disputes. Withdrawal may affect our ability to continue your financing inquiry and cannot necessarily undo a disclosure already lawfully made.

Links to independent lender portals or other third-party websites may be governed by their own privacy policies. We may update this policy to reflect operational, legal, or service changes. The current effective date will appear at the top of this page.
