Business financing for your clients, with you kept informed.

When a client needs working capital, a line of credit or a term loan, you want to know who they’ll be dealing with and how the process will work. Better Growth Capital is a Canadian business financing broker, and we keep the professional who made the introduction informed when the client agrees to it.

Quick Answer

How BGC works with accountants and advisers

You introduce a client who needs business financing, with their permission. We review the request ourselves, talk with the client about what they’re trying to fund and, where it fits, explore options with selected lenders and funding partners from a network of more than 50. With the client’s agreement, we keep you updated along the way.

BGC is a broker, not a lender. Each funding partner sets its own criteria and makes its own decision, so an introduction doesn’t mean the client will be approved.

Who It’s For

Professionals who already advise business owners

Accounting

Accountants and bookkeepers

You see a client’s cash flow and obligations up close, and you’re often the first to know when financing would help.

Advisory

Fractional CFOs and advisers

Your client is planning for growth, a large order or a tight quarter, and you want a financing route you can explain to them.

Transactions

Investment bankers and business brokers

Your client has a working capital or financing need that sits outside the mandate you’re handling for them.

The Process

How an introduction works

Introductions are simple, and your client stays in control of their information.

  • Your client agrees first. Please confirm your client is comfortable being introduced before you share their name or contact details with us.
  • We review the request. Someone from BGC looks at what your client needs and contacts them directly to talk it through.
  • We explore options. Where it fits, we may share your client’s complete application with selected funding partners, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
  • You stay informed. If your client agrees, we let you know where things stand as the request moves forward.
Good Fit

What makes a strong introduction

We work with Canadian businesses requesting CAD $30,000 to $5,000,000. It helps to know a few things before you introduce a client.

  • The purpose. Operating costs, a revolving line of credit, a planned investment, a confirmed customer order or an inventory purchase.
  • The amount. A realistic estimate of what the client needs and how it would be repaid.
  • The recent picture. How long the business has operated, how revenue has been trending and what financing it already has.
  • Any recent decline. If a bank has already said no, tell us. It doesn’t rule out other options, and it helps us review the request properly.

Every funding partner reviews each request on its own terms, so these points help us understand fit. They aren’t approval criteria. You can read more about working capital financing, business lines of credit, term loans, purchase order financing and inventory financing.

Arrangements

How referral arrangements work

Referral arrangements, including any compensation, are discussed case by case. They depend on terms we agree with you and on the rules that apply to your profession, so not every introduction or partner qualifies and nothing is paid automatically.

If an arrangement does apply, we agree it with you before it takes effect. We’d also encourage you to let your client know about it.

FAQ

Questions from accountants and advisers

Is Better Growth Capital a lender?

No. BGC is a business financing broker. We review requests and may refer them to selected lenders and funding partners, who set their own terms and make their own decisions.

Will my client hear from several lenders?

Not automatically. We review requests ourselves and don’t send applications to every lender in our network. If we refer a request, the selected funding partners may contact your client directly.

Does BGC check my client’s credit?

BGC doesn’t run a credit bureau check. A funding partner may ask your client for authorization to check credit as part of its own review.

Can I stay involved after the introduction?

Yes, if your client agrees. Tell us in your inquiry how you’d like to be involved, and we’ll keep you updated on that basis.

What if my client was declined by their bank?

A bank’s decision doesn’t decide what another lender will do, and it doesn’t guarantee approval elsewhere either. Share what happened and we’ll review whether other options may be worth exploring.

Is there a minimum or maximum request?

We review requests from CAD $30,000 to $5,000,000 for Canadian businesses.
